While Ames is slowly passing near Komiža coast, we are listening interesting and adventures stories from our captain Pjerino about his home place Komža, it’s history, cultural heritage, locals and beautiful beaches.
First stop is Brusnik, fascinating uninhabited volcanic island 12 miles away from Komiža. “National Geographic” tour starts with welcoming appetiser. We will take you on a tour around Brusnik where you need to have proper shoes- sneakers. You can see how sea shaped shore from the both sides of the island, see 9 small natural lakes where fishermans kept lobsters in the past, 9 walls of stone that they used as a shelter and covered it with boughs, beach from black rocks, black lizards etc. This island is simply amazing.
After a short swim and scone from Komiža, we continue to sail to Saint Andrew island. It’s a private island of Zanki’s family, and since captain’s wife Silvana is one of the inheritors, we have an opportunity to see it.
On the tour around the island we will visit church, few family houses where you can degust wine, prosecco, herb brandy, capers and other local products. After seeing Zanki estate, we will return on the boat for lunch. Silvana will serve white sea risotto. It’s mostly fish menu and you will have surprise desert.
